The mark

Why the wheel.

The mark in the corner of every page is a dharma wheel: a hub, eight spokes and a rim. This is what it means, why I chose it, and the eight things it holds me to.

The axleI build software that wins you work.

What the wheel means

The dharmachakra, the wheel of the dharma, is one of the oldest symbols of Buddhist teaching. To teach was to set the wheel in motion, and the first sermon is remembered as exactly that.

The wheel is read in three parts, hub, spokes and rim, and often as one lesson: the hub as discipline, the spokes as wisdom, the rim as the concentration that holds the whole together. Its eight spokes stand for the Noble Eightfold Path: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration.

Why it is my mark

I am Mongolian. In Mongolia the wheel is the khorol: it sits gilded on the temple roofs of Ulaanbaatar, as much a part of home as the ger and the script already on this site.

I chose it as the mark for what the shape says about work: a centre that holds, eight spokes that each carry their share, and a rim that meets the ground. It is heritage and a chosen emblem, and the eight commitments below are my own reading of it, one to a spoke.

In the browser tab the mark is the site’s one blue. Here it is gold, because on a temple roof the wheel is gilded.

Eight spokes

One to a spoke, and each of them a promise the rest of this site already makes.

  1. Right view

    The work is the point

I build software that wins you work. That is the measure of every build, before anything else.

  2. Right intention

    Honest advice, either way

You get honest advice and a clear plan whether or not we end up working together, and a plain answer on whether I am the right fit.

  3. Right speech

A reply within a business day

Every message gets a reply within one business day: a free intro chat, by email or a quick call.

  4. Right action

    A fixed quote, agreed first

Clear scope, a timeline and a fixed quote agreed before any work starts: the price you agree to is the price you pay.

  5. Right livelihood

    One person, start to launch

I take a project from the first conversation to a live site or app: design, build, hosting and launch, with one person accountable for all of it.

  6. Right effort

    You watch it being built

You follow progress on a live preview URL and give feedback as we go; revision rounds are included in every package.

  7. Right mindfulness

    Care in the small things

Every screen size, the search basics, the speed, the social preview, the form that lands in your inbox: the details that decide whether a site is trusted.

  8. Right concentration

    Launched, handed over, supported

Domain, hosting and search basics set up for you, a full handoff of everything, and optional ongoing support after launch.

Set in motion.

Eight spokes turn around one line: I build software that wins you work. If you have something to build, send me a few lines.
